I love your sewing projects/commissions, they are awesome! So creative and colorful 
I'm just curious if you plan them, have patterns, or make them as you go? I'd so love to make things like that.. just kind of apprehensive of messing up the fabric trying to get the right sizes/shapes

For large cosplay pieces or runway designs, I have patterns that I make from scratch to fit whichever model will be wearing the garments. My hats and "furry" cosplay items have pre-made patterns that I created a couple of years ago that I alter and tweak according to the commissioner's design. I always recommend using patterns that have been tested at least two or three times before using final fabric
